Bognor Regis Golf Club has a long and proud heritage associated with our Sport.
Pictured above is some of our members attending the Captains Drive-In event in 1934. The Dress Code in use today is somewhat modernised, but we would like to think in keeping with the traditions of our club and the game overall.
The Code in use today is very simple:
Gentlemen should wear trousers with a collared shirt that has to be tucked in. Tailored shorts may be worn with predominately white sports socks. No Jeans, denim T-Shirts or trainer type shoes to be worn. Cargo shorts & trousers are not permitted.
Ladies should wear tailored trousers, skirt or shorts, together with tailored blouses or collared shirts. Golf shirts or blouses may be worn not tucked in. Predominately white sports socks should be worn when not wearing trousers.
Shorts are not permitted in the clubhouse after 8pm, so please plan on bringing a change of clothes with you if you are staying for dinner.

Etiquette is one of the most important parts of the game of golf. We would like our members and guests to observe the basics of etiquette at all times, with particular focus on pace of play!
No two ball round of golf should take more than 3 hours and no four ball round should take more than 3 1/2 hours. Slow play can destroy the pleasure of the game for other players, so please keep up with the game in front and do not keep the people behind you waiting. A lot of slow play is caused by players taking too many practice swings and taking too long over lining up putts. You can help speed things up by always being ready to play your ball as soon as its your turn. When you are out on the course, its your duty to get on with the game.
Two ball matches have priority over three and four ball matches which should always let them through. A single player has no standing on the course and should give way to any kind of match.
Always wait for the players ahead of you to get out of range before you strike your ball. If searching for a ball, wave the players through behind you as soon as its apparent your holding them up.
